NBS THERAPY
NBS stands for ‘No Bullsh*t’.
Our therapeutic approach blends mutual honesty + directness with warmth + care.
NBS Therapy is for you if you just want a mental health professional who listens, gets where you’re coming from, and helps you figure things out in a way that makes sense to you.
We’re here to be upfront.
No judgement - just honest conversations to help you understand what’s going on, why you feel stuck and how to go about feeling better.
We are a queer-affirming therapy practice and our counselling services are discretely delivered online.

Founder & No BS TherapistDaria is the founder and therapist at NBS Therapy. She has a Master of Counselling and registered with the Australian Counselling Association.
Her focus are clients who are new to therapy, therapy sceptics and people who want to learn to turn their sensitivity into strength. Daria utilises a straight-forward approach that blends mutual honesty and directness with warmth and care.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Daria worked in public-facing roles that taught her a lot about self-worth and resilience. Engaging in her own therapy has helped her to come home to herself, and now she strives to help others do the same.
Daria’s interest lies in helping her clients to cultivate self acceptance and worth within self, family, career and relationships. She has vast experience working as a therapist in the LGBTQIA+ and NDIS communities. She is a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practitioner.

The No Bullsh*t Therapy approach was developed by Jeff Young and fosters an environment of mutual honesty and direct communication in therapeutic relationships, guided by four key principles:
Encouraging mutual openness and directness
Balancing honesty with warmth and care
Addressing challenges and limitations transparently
Using clear, jargon-free language
If you just want a counsellor who tells it like it is, this approach may be for you.
“I just wanted to take a moment to express how much I appreciate Daria’s support and guidance in our sessions.
Her help has truly made a significant impact on my journey of self-discovery and growth, and I'm really grateful for it.
The insights we’ve explored together have given me a lot of clarity and motivation, and I already feel like I’m approaching things with a healthier mindset.
Her encouragement and understanding have meant a lot to me.”
